Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any paddle boarding experience?
Not at all! Our beginner sessions are perfect for first-timers, and our tours are ideal for paddlers with some experience. If you’re unsure which is right for you, just ask and we’ll point you in the right direction.
02
What’s included in the price?
We provide everything you need: paddle board, paddle, leash, buoyancy aid, and a qualified instructor/tour leader. You just bring clothing suitable for getting wet, a towel, and water/snacks. Please note, some SUP Tours require you to have your own board/ kit.
03
What should I wear?
Quick-drying sportswear, swimwear, or a wetsuit/ neoprene works well. In colder weather, wear layers and neoprene shoes/booties. Avoid heavy cotton or denim.
04
Do I need to be able to swim?
Yes - all participants must be able to swim at least 50 metres confidently. You’ll wear a buoyancy aid at all times
05
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety first! If the weather makes conditions unsafe, we’ll reschedule or offer a credit. We’ll confirm 24 hours before your session if changes are needed.
06
Can children join?
Yes - minimum age 8+ and they must be accompanied by a participating adult.
07
How fit do I need to be?
SUP is low-impact and suitable for most people with a reasonable fitness level. Tours can be more physically demanding than lessons, so check the tour description for distance and pace.

Can I bring my own board?
Absolutely - let us know in advance so we can check it’s suitable for the route or conditions.

Yes - we offer 1:1, family, and small group private sessions
